FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
The Negatives is thrilled to announce that acclaimed novelist, Taylor Larsen, has come on board as Co-Editor. Larsen, author of Stranger, Father, Beloved, has been a contributor and champion of The Negatives in the past and according to founder, J. Aaron Sanders, “bringing Taylor was the obvious next move. She brings with her an intelligence and enthusiasm that will help The Negatives reach a wider audience.”
Larsen agrees. “Aaron and I want to continue to create authentic conversations about literature and art, as well as a new platform to showcase new and refurbished work. We want to celebrate intelligent and innovative art in a way that is free from the pretension that clouds many discussions of art.”
The Negatives was started in August 2016 by J. Aaron Sanders. “The idea was to have a space for authors and other artists to discuss the idea failure. Behind every success is a string of failures, and I love hearing how it all comes together. That’s why I liked the tagline Celebrate Failure.”
With Larsen onboard, the editors will look to expand its audience and its mission. “The Negatives has already become more than a discussion of failure,” Sanders says. “The title also suggests looking at all that goes into art. Process. Theory. Reception. Really anything having to do with the production and consumption of art.”
